So did they, or didn’t they?
Kate Hudson, 45, reflected on her past relationship with Nick Jonas on Wednesday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”
Cohen questioned the actress about the dating rumors surrounding her and Jonas, asking Hudson: “How would you characterize that relationship?”
“A moment? A moment,” she replied laughing. “Lovely, fun, kind … he’s like an old man in a young man’s body, and we love him.”
Hudson and Jonas, 31, were introduced to each other in 2015 through mutual friends and began hanging out that September.
In 2015, rumors of them dating surfaced when they were spotted at Disney World in Florida.
That same year, the “Bride Wars” star was asked about the musician on “WWHL.”
“I love it when hot people are together. It’s my favorite thing,” Cohen, 46, said at the time, giving his opinion. “I hope something’s happening, even if it’s casual.”
Hudson replied: “I don’t like addressing any kind of gossip.”
Jonas, meanwhile, praised the “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” star in a 2016 interview with Complex, saying he had “so much admiration and respect” for her.
“Kate’s incredible. We had an unbelievable connection as two humans who just admire things about each other and see something in each other that’s beautiful,” he said at the time.
They were last seen together at the Met Gala in 2016.
The “Fool’s Gold” actor went on to date her now-fiancè, Danny Fujikawa, in 2016, and the couple are now parents of daughter Rani Rose, 5.
Jonas, for his part, tied the knot with Priyanka Chopra in India in 2018. They welcomed their daughter in January 2022 via surrogacy.
Hudson appeared on “WWHL” to promote her debut album “Glorious.” In April, she opened up about launching a music career and how she told a critic “f–k you” when told she wasn’t young enough to do so.
“There was someone who said to me — and it kind of jarred me a little — it was when I was in my early 30s, and they basically said, ‘It’s done, it’s passed. You can’t, you’re too old,’ ” Hudson said in an interview with CBS’s “Sunday Morning.”
“And you know, for me, it wasn’t just about being a performer, it was about wanting to write music,” she continued. “So it kind of, like, kind of resonated there for a bit.”
Hudson said she has written songs her “whole life” but “really poorly.”
“I just don’t care anymore about what people think, probably,” she said of focusing on music now. “It was never right, whether it was my own stuff or feeling afraid to mess up my movie career — just never felt right. Until now. I’m just doing it.”
