Due to Alison Hammond and Joel Dommett’s disrespectful comments about Dr. Zoe Williams’ wife’s severe illness, This Morning has been taken off the air, causing viewer anger.

This Morning was halted on Monday after Alison Hammond and Joel Dommett suffered an awkward blunder with Dr Zoe Williams.

This Morning’s live broadcast hit a snag on Monday when presenters Alison Hammond and Joel Dommett encountered a technical hiccup during the show – forcing them to apologise.

During an interview with Dr. Zoe Williams over video link, the pair, Joel and Alison, were in the midst of a conversation when things took a turn. 

Joel, filling in for Dermot O’Leary as Alison’s co-presenter, was recounting an anecdote about his wife’s severe allergic reaction to mosquito bites.

“My wife is allergic to mosquito bites/stings it becomes dangerous almost,” he recounted.

“The day before our wedding she got one right next to her eye and her eye blew up right before our wedding, I was thinking, ‘Is this permanent?’” reports the Mirror.

“Do you know what I mean? ” he quipped, eliciting laughter from the This Morning team.

But when they attempted to return to Dr. Zoe, Alison noticed the glitch: “She’s frozen!”

“You have frozen her,” Alison teased as Joel offered a humorous apology: “I am so sorry! I am so sorry, Zoe.”

Despite the interruption, the duo quickly moved past the error and resumed their conversation about Joel’s wife, Hannah Cooper.

“Was she ok on the wedding day that is all I am thinking of?” Alison inquired.

Joel responded: “We used antihistamines, we got her down….”

Joel, known for his appearances on The Masked Singer and occasional guest presenting stints on This Morning, was scheduled to cover for Dermot on both Monday and Tuesday.

While some viewers enjoyed the chemistry between Alison and Joel, there were those who weren’t as impressed, opting to turn off their TVs.

A third viewer grumbled: “Joel’s voice is already starting to grate…” (sic).
