Ruth Langsford amazed the entire ‘Loose Women’ studio by appearing with her ex-husband Eamonn Holmes’s wedding band, making a quiet statement that: ‘She will not be divorcing Eamonn Holmes.’

Ruth Langsford has returned to ITV’s Loose Women two months after announcing her split from Eamonn Holmes – and avoided any mention of her upcoming divorce.

During her TV comeback on Monday, July 22 she didn’t touch upon her break up from fellow TV presenter Holmes after 14 years of marriage and a relationship that lasted 27 years.

She wore a white top and a bright red blazer, with rings on her wedding finger, beaming and saying, “Thank you very much,” as applause greeted her from the studio audience.

She welcomed everyone to the first episode of the week on *Loose Women*, expressing joy at their company.

After talking about the items coming up, Coleen Nolan turned to Ruth after her two-month break and said: “Wait, wait, wait, before you carry on can I just say, I’m so, so happy that you’re back.”

After huge applause, Janet Street-Porter joked: I’m not, I was left with her and her,” gesturing to Coleen and Brenda Edwards. Ruth added:”I’m sorry Janet, I won’t do it again. It’s very nice to be back with you all,” before ploughing into the show.

Ruth was missing from TV screens since the shock announcement of the split in May but Eamonn has continued to work at GB News in recent weeks and has not discussed his impending divorce on screen.

Ahead of Ruth’s return to the Loose Women panel, sources close to the 64-year-old said she has been left hurt and upset over her marriage breakdown and that she wouldn’t be discussing the split with Eamonn in depth on the show. Friends said she wanted it to be a normal show and was keen to get back to work, reports The Mirror.

A friend told the Mirror: “It has been a tough few weeks but now she feels it is time for her to get back to Loose Women. It is a job she loves doing and even though the split has been very tough, life must go on.”

Eamonn and Ruth met in 1997 when they were introduced by mutual friends and they then dated for over a decade before Eamonn popped the question and they married in 2010. Before the split they had not been photographed together for two years.

They have a son, Jack, who was born in 2002, while Eamonn has three older children from his first wife, Gabrielle, whom he divorced before marrying Ruth.

Ruth Langsford made a graceful return to the Loose Women panel, keeping her personal life under wraps after announcing her split from Eamonn Holmes. The seasoned TV host appeared radiant in a white top and a vibrant red blazer, sporting rings on her wedding finger without addressing the elephant in the room. As the audience erupted in applause, Ruth graciously thanked everyone for their warm welcome, setting the tone for a light-hearted episode. Her co-hosts, including Coleen Nolan and Janet Street-Porter, expressed their delight at having Ruth back on set. Coleen gushed about how happy she was to see Ruth return, while Janet humorously quipped about being stuck with certain co-hosts in Ruth’s absence. Ruth took it in stride, playfully apologizing to Janet before diving into the day’s topics with her signature charm and wit. Ruth’s absence from the show following her separation from Eamonn had left fans and colleagues wondering how she would address the situation. However, sources close to the TV personality revealed that Ruth intended to keep the focus on work and steer clear of discussing her personal life on air. Despite the challenges she faced in recent weeks, Ruth remained committed to her job and eager to reconnect with her colleagues and viewers. Her marriage with Eamonn, which spanned over two decades, came to an end earlier this year, prompting Ruth to take a hiatus from her on-screen duties. The couple, who share a son named Jack, had weathered their fair share of ups and downs over the years before ultimately deciding to part ways. Despite the rocky road ahead, Ruth’s resilience and professionalism shone through as she resumed her role on Loose Women with grace and poise. As Ruth navigates this new chapter in her life, fans and friends alike can take comfort in seeing her back on familiar ground, doing what she does best. Her return to Loose Women signifies not just a comeback, but a testament to her strength and unwavering dedication to her craft.
