Bobby Davro, the comedian, shows his emotions as he talks about his life following the death of his fiancée Vicky Wright, stating, “I always miss her; I can’t escape this pain.”

Comedian Bobby Davro was visibly moved as he opened up about his life since the tragic loss of his fiancee Vicky Wright.

While speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, the 65 year old entertainer, who has been recovering from a stroke, spoke openly with hosts Ranvir Singh and Robert Rinder about his health and career. 

However, the conversation took a poignant turn when they touched upon the passing of Vicky in May 2023.

Vicky, daughter of legendary footballer Billy Wright, passed away at 63, shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. Overcome with emotion, Bobby struggled to speak as he reflected on her sudden death.

The show displayed a touching photo of Bobby and Vicky, prompting Robert to ask: “I just wonder, as we talked about how she passed away, there she is up there. I just wonder what it does to you to see her now and how proud of you she would be.”

Fighting back tears, Bobby responded: “I’m gonna go now, she was very special, very very special. I miss her probably more now than I did when it first happened.”

Bobby continued, sharing that the rapid progression of her illness was difficult to come to terms with. He concluded: “I think I miss her more now than I’ve ever done, but life goes on.”

In April 2023, just a month before her death, Bobby had confided in the Daily Star about Vicky’s battle with pancreatic cancer. Her passing was then confirmed on May 4.

Bobby’s representative confirmed to the PA news agency that she passed away at St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey, surrounded by her loved ones, including her daughter Kelly. Subsequently, Kelly used social media to inform the public of the heartbreaking event.

On her mother’s account, Kelly posted: “Hello everyone… Some incredibly devastating news to share… My wonderful mum Vicky has sadly passed away this morning. I wanted to use this platform to let you all know, as I know how much she valued all your love and support in so many ways.”
