Blake Lively looked incredible as she modeled a one-strap Versace dress — once worn by Britney Spears — at Tuesday evening’s It Ends With Us premiere in New York City.
The 36-year-old beauty — who played Ladypool in the new Deadpool & Wolverine blockbuster — wore the same cleavage-baring look that 42-year-old Spears wore to a 2002 Versace show in Milan, Italy.
The dazzling number features a nude-toned underlay and is covered in beautiful pastel-colored stones, which she paired with pieces from Lorraine Schwartz Fine Jewelry.
Like the pop star did in the early aughts, Blake balanced the sparkly look with a simple, natural-looking nude manicure.
It comes just days after news broke that a Britney biopic based on her 2023 tell-all memoir, The Woman In Me, is in the works.
Universal picked up the rights to the literature, DailyMail.com learned on August 1.
The Toxic singer later teased the project via her X account, revealing that she is working with producer Marc Platt, who helmed the Legally Blonde franchise starring Reese Witherspoon.
There is no word yet on who will play the Grammy-winning music artist, but director Jon M. Chu (Wicked) is developing the biopic.
‘Excited to share with my fans that I’ve been working on a secret project with #MarcPlatt. He’s always made my favorite movies … stay tuned,’ Britney confirmed.
Lively took to Instagram to acknowledge how Britney’s look inspired her.
Engaging her 45.3 million followers, she posted a photo of Spears wearing the dress and soundtracked her 2003 ballad Everytime.
In a glowy typewriter font, the actress wrote, ‘Today’s mood,’ and praised her as ‘the ultimate queen who made us all want to sparkle and write and share our stories.’
She added a heartfelt message: ‘Britney, us millennials all have a story of a moment, or of years that you made us want to shine and inspire awe, with strength, and joy, and immensely hard work.’
The dedication continued, ‘Thank you for your example and your contribution to women telling their stories. So excited about your biopic and all you have to come.’
Blake, whose husband Ryan Reynolds was also in attendance along with friend and Deadpool co-star Hugh Jackman, showed off her fit figure in the snug outfit.
She commanded attention as she flashed her megawatt smile in a face of soft, peachy-pink makeup.
In It Ends with Us, Blake plays Lily Bloom, a woman beginning a passionate — and later abusive — relationship with Ryle Kincaid, played by Justin Baldoni.
The film was directed by Baldoni and was adapted from Colleen Hoover’s 2016 romance novel of the same name.
Reynolds looked spiffy in a tailored olive green suit teamed with a button-up ivory-colored shirt.
The 47-year-old Hollywood leading man punctuated the stylish getup with shiny dark brown dress shoes.
He wore a small, pale pink corsage on his lapel as he posed alongside his spouse of nearly 12 years.
His dark hair was neatly cut short and he looked typically handsome with a trimmed, light layer of his graying beard.
Ryan recently talked working with his wife in his record-breaking film Deadpool & Wolverine.
He appeared on the podcast Not Skinny But Not Fat and was asked about the identity of the actress who played Lady Deadpool.
‘I’ve been sleeping with her,’ he joked in an answer which revealed his wife Blake was the one playing the mysterious new role.
‘Not saying that she’s enjoying the sleeping together part, but I’m just saying I have,’ he playfully added.
Hugh, 55, contrasted his longtime friend in a white outfit.
The Australian actor looked great in trousers, a collared shirt, and a light great sport coat.
He and Ryan are riding high on the success of their latest movie collaboration.
Their new R-rated Marvel feature debuted in theaters July 26 and earned $205 million domestically and $233.3 million internationally.
To mark the successful opening weekend, Hugh took to Instagram to share a photo of his Wolverine character lying in bed in bed clutching a framed photo with the phrase: ‘#1 Movie in the World.’
He wrote in the caption to his 32.6 million followers, ‘Wolverine and Deadpool is the #1 movie in the world. Thank you ALL!’
Ryan then shared a photo of his Deadpool persona lying in bed holding a photo of Wolverine’s photo, writing: ‘I miss Hugh already. #DeadpoolAndWolverine.’
Also at Tuesday’s It Ends With Us premiere was Hasan Minhaj.
The 38-year-old multihyphenate entertainer was fashion-forward in a mustard yellow suit.
He layered his jacket over a button-up white shirt and added black dress shoes with thin yellow and orange accents around the soles.
Minhaj slicked his jet black hair back and sported a thin, dark beard.
Model and television host Camille Kostek, 32, looked pretty in an ivory dress with heavy draping.
She wore her blonde hair in a flirty updo and flaunted bronzy makeup.
Actress Melora Hardin looked great in a white dress with a blue and pink floral pattern.
The 57-year-old star complemented her look with pink lipstick and a matching manicure.
She complemented her look with the addition of a stack of gold bangles and an understated gold necklace.
Her dirty blonde locks were arranged in curls that fell around her face.
Actress Isabela Ferrer wore a floral Oscar de la Renta dress and Lorraine Schwartz jewel.
In It Ends With Us, in theaters August 9, Ferrer plays the younger version of Blake’s character Lily Bloom.
Speaking with People about her movie back in April, Hoover said ‘seeing these characters come to life on the big screen is a dream come true.’
‘The movie experience adds another layer to the connection readers already have with the characters,’ she said.
Hoover explained, ‘The power of visual storytelling is undeniable, and it can evoke even stronger emotions and empathy from the audience by bringing a sense of immediacy and intensity to the story. I definitely felt so much while watching the adaptation.’
She previously revealed It Ends With Us was ‘the hardest book I’ve ever written’ as it is based on the relationship between her parents.
