This is her… now.
Fresh off the heels of filing for divorce, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have the awkward task of promoting their movie “Unstoppable” together.
Sources told People on Aug. 23 that Lopez, 55, who has a supporting role in the film, will attend the “Unstoppable” premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival while Affleck, 52, who produced the movie, will be absent from the red carpet.
Affleck’s longtime best friend, Matt Damon, 53, who also produced, will join her.
The sports drama was produced by Artists Equity — the company that Affleck and Damon co-founded — and also stars Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena and Don Cheadle.
Based on a true story, “Unstoppable” is about Anthony Robles (Jerome), a wrestler who was born with one leg. Lopez plays his mother.
The Post has reached out to reps for Affleck, Lopez and Damon for comment.
In March 2023, Affleck gushed over working with his then-wife on the movie, while talking to CBS Sunday Mornings.
“What fun, what a joy to do something with her,” he said, “see her be great, go to work with your wife, go to work with your best friend.”
Affleck continued, “If you don’t like who you’re working with, and if you have difficulty or trouble at work, I think it’s one of the things that can really cause depression, anxiety and pain for people… Can’t make it look like she’s doing it as a favor to me, but actually she is.”
After months of rumors that Lopez and Affleck were on the rocks, Lopez officially filed for divorce from Affleck on Aug. 20, which is the pair’s second anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony.
The “Jenny from the Block” singer cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for her split from Affleck after two years of marriage.
According to the Daily Mail, that choice was intentional.
“Jennifer said she was tired of being humiliated by Ben and she waited until the two-year anniversary because she wanted it to sting,” an insider alleged to the publication.
“But it did not sting him,” the insider claimed. “He’s been done for a long time and deep down she knows this. He let her have this so that she wouldn’t look like the villain.”
Another source alleged to Us Weekly: “The timing of the divorce was a big f–k you to Ben.”
Lopez listed the date of separation as April 26, 2024, meaning they haven’t been a couple for nearly four months.
Although neither J.Lo nor Affleck spoke about it publicly, it wasn’t so secret.
Affleck joined Lopez on the red carpet for her “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story” in Los Angeles on Feb. 13, but did not accompany her to the Met Gala in May.
That same month, “The View” hosts even discussed the couple’s then-rumored split.
“When you go around shouting your love from the rooftops, it gets tricky when things don’t go well. My advice is keep your mouth shut,” Joy Behar said.
Per TMZ, the estranged couple did not have a prenup.
Affleck recently moved out of their $60 million marital mansion, and went on to purchase a $20.5 million home. The property they bought together is currently on the market.
The pair first got together in 2002 but ended their first engagement in 2004.
They went on to respectively marry and have kids with other people. Affleck has kids Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with his first ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, 52, who he split from in 2015 after 10 years of marriage. Lopez is mom to 16-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Two decades later, Affleck and Lopez rekindled their romance and tied the knot at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas in July 2022. They went on to hold a second and more extravagant wedding ceremony at Affleck’s home in Riceboro, Georgia, on Aug. 20, 2022.
In Lopez’s Prime Video documentary, “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” (now streaming), Affleck said that when they rekindled their relationship, he had one demand.
“Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media,’” he said in the film.
But, at the time, he gave in.
“Then I sort of realized it’s not a fair thing to ask. It’s sort of like you’re going to marry a boat captain and (you’re like), ‘Well, I don’t like the water.’ ”
He added on-screen, “We’re just two people with … different approaches, trying to learn to compromise.”
