Meghan Markle prevents Prince Harry from bringing Lilibet and Archie to the UK following King Charles’ demand for DNA tests to confirm their identity.

Now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are back home in California after a whirlwind Colombia tour, the couple is reportedly re-examining a future visit to the United Kingdom.

Amid reports that Harry is homesick for his life across the pond, a royal expert says Meghan has one “major condition” for returning to the U.K. with her kids – and it goes beyond security concerns.

In addition to ensuring that the Sussex family regains taxpayer-funded security–a privilege they lost once they stepped down as working royals–Meghan has also reportedly made it clear she doesn’t plan to stay with her in-laws when she’s visiting.

Royal author and expert Tom Quinn told The Mirror, “Meghan has said she’s only prepared to return to England if she and Harry have a place of their own and the security they both feel is essential. Meghan will never return to the UK and stay with her husband‘s relatives.”

The couple previously lived at Frogmore Cottage from 2019 to 2020 and still had ownership of the property until they were evicted from the royal residence last year. Harry reportedly viewed the decision as a “slap in the face,” Quinn told The Mirror at the time.

“Harry was absolutely furious and in tears about being evicted from Frogmore,” the royal author previously said. “He felt his father had no right to do it and that it was purely vindictive. Harry couldn’t see that choosing to stop being a working royal would inevitably mean being deprived of his royal residence. Harry took it as a cruel rejection.”

In addition to searching for a new “permanent home,” Prince Harry has been embroiled in a four-year court battle to reinstate U.K. police security for his family, citing concerns about the safety of his wife and kids. While his request was initially denied, he won the right to appeal the court’s decision in June.

If these conditions are met, Quinn told the publication that there’s a possibility that the couple’s two kids could visit the U.K., and potentially–after some mediation–develop a relationship with their British cousins.

“If the couple manage to find a permanent home and sort out the security issue they will certainly want to bring their children to the U.K. but it’s going to take a lot of diplomacy to get to the point where Archie and Lili are able to develop a genuine and warm relationship with their cousins George, Charlotte, and Louis,” Quinn added.

After their recent return to California, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are contemplating a future trip to the United Kingdom. Reports suggest that Harry is feeling nostalgic for his life in his home country, while Meghan has set forth a significant condition for their potential return with their children. This condition extends beyond mere security concerns.Meghan has expressed that she is only willing to consider a return to the UK if she and Harry have their own place to stay and the necessary security measures in place. It is clear that Meghan has no intention of staying with Harry’s family during their visit. This request comes in the wake of the couple losing taxpayer-funded security upon stepping back from their royal duties.Royal expert Tom Quinn shared with The Mirror, “Meghan has stated her preference for having her own residence in England, along with the essential security measures that they deem necessary. It is unlikely that Meghan will agree to stay with Harry’s relatives during their visit.” The couple previously resided at Frogmore Cottage from 2019 to 2020 and still maintained ownership of the property until they were asked to vacate it last year.Harry reportedly felt deeply hurt by the decision to evict them from Frogmore, seeing it as a disrespectful move on the part of his father. Quinn revealed, “Harry was angered and emotional about being forced to leave Frogmore. He believed that his father’s actions were unjust and driven by spite. Harry couldn’t comprehend that stepping back from his royal duties would result in losing his royal residence. He interpreted it as a harsh rejection.”In addition to their pursuit of a new permanent home, Prince Harry has been engaged in a legal battle for the reinstatement of police security for his family, citing concerns for their safety. Although his initial request was turned down, he has been granted the right to appeal this decision as of June.If these conditions are met, Quinn suggests that the couple may bring their two children to the UK, allowing them to potentially form relationships with their British cousins after some necessary mediation. “Once the couple establishes a permanent residence and resolves the security issue, they will likely want to introduce Archie and Lili to the UK. However, it will require careful diplomacy to facilitate a genuine and warm relationship between Archie, Lili, George, Charlotte, and Louis,” Quinn explained.Stay tuned for more insightful updates and guidance on relevant topics to keep yourself informed and inspired.
