Despite not sitting in the same suite at the Kansas City Chiefs game on Thursday night, Taylor Swift is still pals with fellow WAG Brittany Mahomes.

Questioned were raised over the status of their friendship after the pair were pictured in separate suites during the Chiefs win over the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL’s season opener

With speculation it was to do with the controversary surrounding Brittany’s support of Donald Trump.

However, sources have since exclusively told the DailyMail.com that the high-profile duo did in fact spend time together after the game.

‘Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes hung out together after the game and are still friends despite reports suggesting that there was bad blood over Brittany’s support of Trump,’ the source shared.

‘Taylor sat with Travis’s mom simply because she wanted to spend time with her,’ they continued, saying the separate suites had ‘nothing to do with Brittany.’

Brittany’s fellow NFL WAGs have not questioned her support of Donald Trump as they are too scared to ‘cross her,’ insiders recently claimed.

Last month, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany, 29, came under fire after she liked a slew of posts and comments on Instagram praising former President Donald, 78, who this week thanked her for her support.

An insider has spoken exclusively to DailyMail.com about how the controversy has impacted Brittany’s status.

They insisted that none of Brittany’s football pals plan to question the mother-of-two on her political stance as her husband’s success has made her untouchable, and nobody wants to ‘ruffle any feathers’ with Patrick.

‘Patrick is still the darling of the NFL, and as long as he continues to win, no matter what his family does – from Brittany, to his brother, and his dad – Patrick will be fine,’ the source said. 

‘Brittany is still in good standing with Patrick, her friends, and the other players’ wives.  ‘Nobody is going to cross Brittany as she provides so much access and nobody wants to ruffle any feathers with Patrick.’

The source claimed if anyone is talking about her recent scandal, they are doing so ‘behind closed doors’ and not to her face. ‘Nobody will ever bring it up during a hangout or at a game,’ they added. ‘It will not be a thing that is addressed.’ 

Many have theorized that Brittany’s political stance could affect her bond with pop sensation Taylor, 34,  with some of the singer’s fans even begging her to steer clear of Brittany as a result.

The two stars grew close after the Grammy winner started dating Patrick’s teammate Travis Kelce, 34, last year. While Taylor has remained tight lipped about the upcoming election, she previously expressed disdain for Trump and voted for his ex-rival Joe Biden ahead of the 2020 election. 

The source insisted that the ‘noise’ is not an ‘issue’ among Brittany’s NFL pals right now but did warn that if the Chiefs start to lose down the line, it could certainly become a problem.

‘If the Chiefs start struggling anytime this year, or have a stretch where they start losing, people will almost certainly look to outside drama as the potential reason,’ the insider added. 

‘They will jump on that immediately, but as of right now the focus is on the start of the season and trying to get to that three peat. All the other noise is not an issue as of yet.’

Days after Brittany came under fire for liking the posts about Trump, she and Patrick were spotted hanging out with Taylor and Travis at the hitmaker’s Rhode Island mansion.

They attended a party thrown by Taylor for actress Blake Lively, proving there was no tension between them.  A separate source previously told DailyMail.com at the time that Taylor and Brittany had made a ‘pact’ to avoid talking about politics amid their different stances.

‘Taylor is not going to be written into this anti-Brittany narrative because they have made a pact to not discuss politics,’ they said.  ‘They both know it can tear apart friendships and they respect that they have different views.’ 

They added: ‘It is not only Taylor who has not spoken out in strong support for either candidate, but Travis as well. They know how much influence they have.’ 

Another source added: ‘Taylor deals with so many people in her career and life that are so different that she leads with love, if you are a good person, most likely you’ll get her respect.

‘Her and Brittany talk about other things and never politics, so Taylor isn’t going to let this be a deal breaker for a friendship.’

Brittany seemed to subtly address the backlash during an appearance on the WHOOP podcast last week, as she spoke about how her husband had taught her to ignore social media trolls.

‘He is very good at blocking people out so having him beside has helped,’ she said.  ‘The main thing he always told me is to stop caring what people think – especially the people that don’t even know you. 

‘I think social media used to get to me a lot. Now, it’s just like, honestly, I don’t give a f**k what people have to say about me anymore. And I think he has helped me get to that point. 

‘I am strong in who I am. I am confident in who I am. I confident in mine and his relationship and I am confident in our lives. So why does what other people say have to matter at all?’ 

Trump later thanked Brittany for her support in a post shared to his Truth Social network.

‘I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country,’ he wrote.

‘With crime and illegal immigration totally out of control, INFLATION ravaging all Americans, and a world that is laughing at the stupidity of our hapless ‘leaders,’ it is nice to see someone who loves our country, and wants to save it from DOOM.

‘What a great couple – See you both at the Super Bowl.’
