A-list stars such as Chrissy Teigen and Ariana Grande attended the Paris 2024 Olympics in Met Gala-level attire due to the lack of dress code regulations, flaunting their extravagance.

Chrissy Teigen joined fellow A-Listers Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga and Celine Dion at the Paris 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony on Friday.

The 38-year-old model showcased her stunning figure in a khaki Balmain co-ord while walking the red carpet at the Trocadero on Friday with husband John Legend and their children Luna, eight, and Miles, six.

Pop singer Ariana, 31, opted for a suitably-pink dress ahead of her starring role as Glinda the Good Witch ahead in the upcoming musical adaptation of Wicked. 

Meanwhile, Celine Dion, 56, exuded old Hollywood glamour as she graced the stage in a silver shimmering gown in the center of the Eiffel Tower to to perform La Vie En Rose.

Lady Gaga, 38, was also seen in a a small black bodysuit complete with white feathers as seen belting out her rendition of Mon Truc en Plumes in French during her performance at the opening ceremony, with all celebs braving the heavy rain.

singer-turned-TV host Kelly Clarkson, 42, showed off her trim figure as she also posed in front of the French capital’s most famous landmark. 

Tennis legend Serena Williams, 42, showed off her svelte figure in a skin-tight red dress as she posed on the red carpet with a matching handbag 

Former Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev, 35, gave a wide smile as she posed in a cool ensemble made up of short white outfit, matching shoes, leather jacket and small black handbag. 

Alex Cooper – who hosts Spotify’s Call Her Daddy podcast and has interviewed megastars like Miley Cyrus and Kate Hudson –  looked smart in a sleek black dress as she posed alongside her husband Matt Kaplan. 

During the Opening Ceremony the iconic French singer Celine Dion left her fans in tears as they watched her close the 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony in Paris on Friday evening.

The Canadian singer, 56, who is battling the incurable stiff-person syndrome, looked incredible in a shimmering silver gown as she performed in front of the Eiffel Tower.

She gave a rendition of La Vie En Rose, which was originally sung by French music icon Edith Piaf. 

The song was originally released in 1947 and its title translates into English as ‘life in pink.

The My Heart Will Go On songstress looked to be on the verge of tears as she finished the performance to cheers from the crowd, whilst viewers at home were also left emotional. 

Gaga was pictured looking incredible as she left her fans in awe over her feathery display. 

Lady Gaga kicked off the party by performing to 320,000 excited spectators crowded on the banks of the River Seine. 

The choreographed parade kicked off at 6.30pm UK time, with the American superstar wowing crowds as she performed a stunning Folie Bergiere style. 

Her show-stopping display opened on a gold staircase with an array of feather-clad dancers, holding pom poms that concealed the headliner’s face. 

After teasing her presence by doing a racy dance with only her endless legs visible, the feathers cleared to show that the blonde beauty had arrived.

The Grammy winner continued to belt out the French-language Mon Truc en Plume (My Thing With Feathers) in a minute-long routine. 

At one point she flaunted her endless skillset as she played the piano In honor of the Games’ host country this year. 

The star opted for a vintage, Parisian cabaret-style performance, hamming up her movements with every opportunity and sang entirely in French amid an plume of pink feathers. 

Ahead of the ceremony, Snoop Dogg was tasked with carrying the Olympic torch through Paris. 

During the parade there was over 3,000 performers in the ceremony with the delegations and passengers on the boasts.

The pre-ceremony press conference was cancelled due to directors being pulled away for last-minute preparations, with concern rife over the volume of rain in the city.

The parade finished in front of the Trocadero where the remaining performances and elements of the Olympic protocol took place.

Although the floating parade was originally planned as a people’s party along the banks, the French police have intervened and for security reasons most spectators will be assigned to an area or allocated seats in fenced-off areas for the ceremony.

Each country debuted their athletes with one of their most prolific names holding their national or regional flags at the beginning of the ceremony.

Greece debuted first as a nod to where the Olympics first originated, with the host country being last to feature.

The Olympic anthem rang out after the head of state of the host country announces the commencement of the Games.

The iconic Olympic flame was then brought forward for the lighting of the main torch which is the culmination of the opening ceremony as well as the release of doves, symbolising peace amongst all countries.

Fears mounted ahead of the ceremony over Moscow being behind a ‘massive arson attack’ which brought chaos to France’s rail network after an alleged Russian spy was arrested earlier this week.

Kirill Gryaznov, 40, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with working ‘with a foreign power to try and incite hostilities in France’ after being identified as working for the FSB, Vladimir Putin’s domestic intelligence agency.

Gryaznov – who denies any wrongdoing – is said to have boasted about turning the start of the Paris Olympics into ‘an opening ceremony like no other’.

On Thursday night, with just hours to go before the procession on the River Seine, fires were started at key installations, bringing trains to a halt and affecting around 800,000 passengers.

The Eurostar is advising passengers not to travel today after its rail services between London and Paris were disrupted by the acts of vandalism, the

has reported, with several trains cancelled and others diverted.

An airport located at the Swiss-French border has also been evacuated and closed due to a bomb alert, the French police said.
