Lauryn Goodman has continued to issue a string of jibes aimed at Kyle Walker after the Manchester City FC ace branded their two children “mistakes”
Lauryn Goodman isn’t holding back in her spat with England footballer Kyle Walker.
The reality TV aspirant, mother to two of Walker’s children from fleeting romantic encounters, is firing back after the Manchester City star labelled their dalliances as “mistakes”.
Lauryn, 33, had been harbouring hopes for a deeper connection, accusing Walker of leading a “double life” involving herself and their kids while also returning to his spouse Annie Kilner and their brood of four.
Although Walker’s camp has countered claims of a double life, Lauryn continues to unleash revelations about the sports ace.
In her latest tell-all, she alleges that Kyle sought to seduce her shortly following their initial family court rendezvous.
Her silence broken by Walker’s dismissive comments and admission of regret over their meetups, Lauryn says she’s compelled to speak up for herself. Talking to The Sun, she disclosed: “I never planned to speak out but after Kyle’s statement,” further stressing her financial independence and insistence that any money requested was solely for the welfare of their children, underscoring her work as an influencer.
“I appear on TV shows and have just filmed Celebs Go Dating. I pay a mortgage. This was never about money for me”, reports the Mirror.
But the interview also uncovered that her current residence isn’t actually hers it’s Kyle’s property, bought under the agreement that Lauryn can stay until their children complete their education, or if she lives with someone else for six months.
The twists and turns of Lauryn and Walker’s child maintenance saga were exposed this week when a judge decreed that Lauryn had forfeited her privacy rights by exposing their children, Kairo, four, and Kinara, one, to the public eye, along with her jabs at Walker.
Revelations about her eclectic list of requests from Kyle including astroturf for her abode, a brand-new car for her non-driving nanny, and redecorating the house he bought her emerged as well.
Still, Lauryn hasn’t stopped taking swipes at Kyle; the ex-bank worker has told the court she plans to continue her work as a “celebrity” and used social media to throw shade at Kyle.
After her call for air conditioning in the house became known, she teasingly posted a news article on her Instagram Stories about the increasing demands for air conditioning in British homes, with the caption: “Oh the irony,” followed by a slew of laughing emojis.
Just before that, she teased her followers with a countdown clock on Instagram, suggesting she’s set to divulge more about their short-lived romance, ominously noting: “Time is a beautiful thing. Truth is coming and there is so much more.”
Right after 8pm on Sunday, Lauryn took to Instagram to “officially” disclose the name of their daughter, previously announced by Judge Hess in a court decision. Along with her revelation, Lauryn fired a scathing remark about how her chance to introduce her daughter’s name herself was ‘stolen’.
Her message said: “Another special moment taken away from me. I’d like to officially announce my daughters name – Kinara. ‘A goal without a plan is only a dream and after every storm comes a rainbow’.
“You are exactly that my beautiful girl. My rainbow is to still stand tall after we’ve all weathered this storm. One thing I can promise you is that you’ll always be MY priority. I will never let EITHER of you down. You both make me so proud and genuinely give me the greatest strength to keep going.”
However, Lauryn’s announcement did not sit well with her followers, with one commenting: “You had a second baby with the same guy who denied your first and he has a wife?” Another follower questioned her choice of names, probing: “I just don’t get it.”
In a fiery statement, a lawyer representing Lauryn claimed her extensive list of demands was for the benefit of Kinara. Charlotte Conner, partner at Dawson Cornwell, said: “It is important to remember that these proceedings are about a 1-year-old girl.
The child’s mother was motivated only to seek some equality of economic outcome and treatment for this child, as compared to her brother and half-brothers, which the daughter’s father found difficult to recognise as appropriate. Indeed, for a case which is now known for transparency, it is ironic that this father sought to avoid publicly acknowledging his daughter.”
Ms Conner continued: “Where a respondent parent – as here – can meet any award the court concludes to be appropriate, the scrutiny is always going to be on what the applicant parent asks for and whether it is reasonably required for the benefit of the child.
“Yes, the mother was seeking financial provision on behalf of her infant daughter, but she has been harshly criticised for suggesting that all of the father’s children be on some semblance of a level playing field.”
“Sadly, the only daughter of Mr Walker is now set to be treated differently to her brothers. Seemingly, the fact that a mother suggested works be done to a home which would simultaneously enhance its value and benefit the children is newsworthy, when the fact that it is a property which belongs and will ultimately revert to the father is ignored.”
“Although there has been media coverage about the relationship between the parties in this case, most of the information about their children, the financial dispute between them and their respective financial circumstances has never been in the public domain.
“Indeed, previous judgments have been anonymised and the proceedings in relation to the parties’ first child were afforded, by agreement, complete privacy. This is another example of how 1-year-old Kinara, whose name was not widely known previously, has been treated differently to her brother.”
Lauryn also expressed her frustration over the disparity in treatment between her two children with Kyle and his four children with his wife Annie. “My kids should have what Kyle and Annie’s kids have. They have AstroTurf in their garden so why shouldn’t mine? The law states that they should have the same,” she told the Daily Mail.
However, the AstroTurf in Kyle and Annie’s back garden was already there when they purchased their home in Cheshire.
Last month, a source close to Walker disclosed to the Mirror that Kyle had been unable to establish a relationship with Kairo and Kinara due to Lauryn’s actions.
They said: “The way Lauryn has behaved towards Annie and her children has made it impossible for Kyle to forge an emotional relationship with them without protecting the privacy of his own family. Kyle provides for Lauryn’s children financially and will continue to do so.”
Friends of Kyle have blasted Lauryn’s recent allegations as a vindictive scheme to wreck his marriage to Annie, which she had previously threatened to “finish”.
They revealed to the Mirror: “As detailed in court, Lauryn actively sought ways to destroy Kyle and Annie’s marriage, including asking the neighbour to spy on them, and conspiring to ‘finish’ them. This new interview is a continuation of that – purely to get at Annie and try to dispel the truths that came out in court.”
They added: “Kyle has no contact with Lauryn and anything said to her during the time when he was seeking to keep the paternity of her second child a secret was done in an attempt to stop her from activating the detonator. He had no intention of meeting her hence the message arriving over ten days after he had been in London. He wishes Lauryn and her children no ill will but just wishes she would stop fuelling the fire around the situation and leave all the drama behind.”
In response to her latest claims, a source intimately acquainted with Kyle and his wife Annie exclusively informed the Mirror: “Kyle and Annie have stayed dignified throughout the whole ordeal and wish to keep things private in order to protect all the children involved. They will not be courting the media despite Lauryn’s attempts to make them do so.”
“In a first-of-its-kind ruling, Honourable Judge Hess allowed for the anonymity of those involved in the court case to be lifted as he found the way Lauryn manipulated the media to lead a false narrative highly damaging and wished for the public to make up their own mind.”
A source from Cheshire added: “He saw through her attempts at making out that she had her children’s best interests at heart and condemned her for using them as media fodder – including when she took her eldest to the Euros in exchange for money.”
