Christina Sandera, who was Clint Eastwood’s longtime girlfriend, has died at 61.
“Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much,” Eastwood, 94, said in a statement released Thursday night, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
A Warner Bros. spokesperson told the outlet that no further information would be forthcoming.
A cause of death was not announced.
The legendary actor and director was dating Sandera for over a decade.
The couple reportedly met when Sandera was working as a hostess at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
Their relationship began in 2014.
Sandera was not part of the entertainment industry, and their relationship was low-profile. However, she was a longtime Carmel resident — of which Eastwood was briefly the mayor, in 1986.
Sandera was a fixture by Eastwood’s side at numerous red carpets and awards ceremonies.
She attended the 2015 Oscars when “American Sniper” (which Eastwood directed) was nominated for six Oscars.
She also joined Eastwood on the red carpet for premieres including “Sully” in 2016, “The Mule,” in 2018, “The 15:17 to Paris” in 2018 and “Richard Jewell” in 2019.
The couple did not share children, but Eastwood has eight children from prior relationships with six different women: daughters Laurie, Kimber, Alison, Kathryn, Francesca and Morgan, and sons Kyle and Scott.
Before Sandera, Eastwood was married twice: to model Maggie Johnson from 1953 to 1984, and to news anchor Dina Ruiz from 1996 until 2014.
