In a bid to compete with King Charles and Kate Middleton, a desperate Prince Harry invents a tragic story about his health.

A major spotlight moment for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has come under scrutiny years later – with experts picking apart its “contradictions”, just as the Duke made some new claims in a TV documentary.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have found themselves at the centre of more criticism over discrepancies between two major interviews.

The couple have been accused of “trying to rewrite history” after contradicting themselves, while Harry seemed to struggle discussing his family’s health issues in a new documentary.

Earlier this week, the couple’s 2017 engagement interview was discussed after BBC presenter Mishal Husain responded to Meghan’s claim that it was an “orchestrated reality show.”.

In their Netflix docuseries, the Duchess of Sussex claimed the interview was “rehearsed,” likening it to a “reality show” and criticizing Ms. Husain as “not empathetic enough and not warm enough.”

Now the Mail’s Richard Eden hit back at the couple after the BBC journalist said she “didn’t know what to make of” Meghan’s comments at first. She claimed they contradicted themselves as they first revealed during that interview that they met on a blind date but during their Netflix show, they claimed they met on Instagram. He told Palace Confidential: “They [Harry and Meghan] really are [trying to rewrite history], I think Meghan is trying to rewrite history. There’s one version that was out at the time, and she’s trying to say ‘no, that’s not what happened at all’. And now, this is Mishal Husain saying ‘oh wait a minute, don’t just try to rewrite history like that.’”

It comes as the Duke appeared on ITV’s Tabloids On Trial documentary and talked about his legal battles with the British press, however, he seemed to be struggling to answer a question about his own family during his interview.
