Kyle Walker has told pals how he worried about the impact on his family due to Lauryn Goodman’s media war against him and is urging her to stop and end all the ‘silly drama’
Kyle Walker is “devastated” by the messy fall-out with Lauryn Goodman, telling pals: “The circus needs to stop for the sake of the kids.”
The Manchester City ace is “beyond exasperated by the endless games” as he is determined to “draw a line under everything.”
A pal said: “The mudslinging from Lauryn’s side has been out of control and at the end of the day, he just wants things to calm down.
He hopes the court case will bring an end to all the silly drama, which has caused him so much upset.
The children have to come first and he is acutely aware of that.”
This week Kyle, 34, appeared at the Central Family Court in High Holborn, London, after returning from Euro 2024.
The Mirror previously revealed how he enlisted London firm Payne Hicks Beach, experts in dispute resolution, to draw a line under the affair and draw an end to the “tsunami of false allegations that are in no one’s best interests”.
The pair share two children, one of them a son named Kairo. Lauryn showed up for day two of her court showdown with a KW necklace, which was believed to be a nod to him rather than Kyle. TV star Lauryn, 33, discussed financial arrangements for their children, conceived during an on-off fling.
Kyle has four children – Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, Reign, five and baby Rezon – with his wife, Annie Kilner, whom he married in 2022. Manchester City star Kyle confirmed he was the father of Lauryn’s daughter in January. He said at the time: “I made idiot choices.” Lauryn recently gave an interview telling of her “agony” after Kyle described her relationship with him as a “mistake”.
“I can take it from strangers, but hearing that from their dad was unimaginably cruel. People can’t imagine the challenge of having a three-year-old boy who is aware of his dad and sees him in adverts, on TV, on billboards every week, it’s huge. Nobody understands what it is like when a young boy points to a photo of his dad and just wants to see him. It breaks my heart.”
Meanwhile, Kyle was the only England player to be named in UEFA’s official Euro 2024 team of the tournament, with six of the victorious Spain squad having been included. The Manchester City right-back started each of England’s seven games as they reached the final. He played a key role in keeping England in the tournament in the last 16, setting up Jude Bellingham’s overhead kick with his long throw into the area.
