Amanda Holden and Alan Carr amused fans this week with footage of themselves enjoying a holiday abroad together.
The pals have been soaking up the sun in Greece lately and they have both shared updates on social media.
Amanda, 53, and Alan, 48, are believed to have been on the island of Corfu, as part of a group that includes the former’s family.
The holiday abroad has already seen Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda and comedian Alan head on a boat trip. The pair also enjoyed a meal out on the island recently.
The latest update showed them working on a skit at their villa.
The video began with Alan pretending to stumble upon his pal Amanda in the garden of the property. She had been wrapped in tin foil for the sketch, which was seemingly a parody of the Tin Man being discovered by Dorothy Gale in the Wizard of Oz. Amanda’s outfit consisted of a skirt and top, and she also had a piece of kitchen foil on her head.
Alan moved one of Amanda’s arms and a creaking noise was subsequently heard in the video. The sound effect was played again moments later, after Alan used a watering can to pour what appeared to be water around her feet.
Alan was then seen rushing through the villa to the kitchen as the song Yakety Sax – widely known as the closing music of the Benny Hill Show – played. The video then showed him pretending to pour some Aperol into a cocktail shaker.
He proceeded to take the drink back to Amanda and when the cocktail shaker was placed by her mouth, a slurping noise was heard. Moments later she ripped off the tin foil costume to reveal a silver bikini hidden underneath.
The video then shows Amanda dancing around the garden of the villa alongside Alan, who was dressed in a white t-shirt and a pair of green shorts, as Daft Punk’s Around the World plays. She’s subsequently seen jumping into a pool.
Alongside the video, the caption read: “More madness from us. Tin-mandy [and Alan]. Honestly I think we’ve lost the plot. BTW this isn’t an ad for Aperol Spritz – although it bloody should be.” Amanda added at the end that her silver bikini was from swimwear brand Melissa Odabash.
The post – shared jointly by Amanda and Alan – has since amassed more than 14,000 likes on the platform. It prompted reaction in the comments section from some of their followers, with many suggesting they were amused.
Alongside a series of laughing emojis, Alan’s pal Angellica Bell responded: “Nutters.” One person commented on the post: “You two are bonkers.” Whilst someone else said: “Bloody hilarious. How can Amanda keep a straight face?”
Another person reacted: “You guys are sooo funny.” Sharing their thoughts, one fan said: “Love it … mad as a box of frogs though.” Another follower wrote: “You guys crack me up.” Whilst someone said in their reply: “Ha ha brilliant.”
Someone expressed gratitude for the pair bringing “joy” to their fans with the video. They wrote in the comments: “Bless you guys for bringing much needed joy this Monday morning, amidst so much doom and gloom here in the UK.”
