Ruth Langsford has been missing from ITV’s Loose Women since splitting with her husband of 14 years, Eamonn Holmes.
Ruth Langsford has taken a second break from ITV’s Loose Women just days after making a comeback.
The 64-year-old TV host inititally took a short hiatus from her presenting duties after splitting up with her former This Morning host, Eamonn Holmes, also 64.
Ruth was last seen on the ITV magazine show on Tuesday afternoon, with her being absent yesterday (July 29).
However, a source has confirmed to the Mirror that this second absence was planned “for a long time”.
They told the publication: “Ruth is on a longstanding holiday that’s been in the diary for a long time.” It comes after her much awaited return to the ITV show was applauded by the studio audience, just a week ago.
While the audience made a fuss of her return, Ruth avoided addressing her comeback as she introduced the show’s topics as usual, reading from the autocue – While still wearing her wedding ring.
The TV presenters called it quits after 14 years of marriage and a 27-year relationship, back in May. Following the news, Eamonn returned to GB News almost immediately while Ruth decided to take some time away from TV.
She and Eamonn met in 1996, after being introduced by friends, and dated for over a decade before getting engaged. The couple tied the knot in 2010.
They share one son together, Jack, 22, while Eamonn also has three children from a previous marriage – Declan, 35, Rebecca, 32, and Niall, 30.
The former couple still share custody of their beloved dog, Maggie, with them both sharing updates on her on their Instagram accounts.
