Ruth Langsford has been taking to social media to share a series of snaps since she and Eamonn Holmes announced their split
Ruth Langsford appears to be sending “subtle hints” at Eamonn Holmes and his “alleged new partner,” sources close to the TV personality say.
Since announcing their split, 64 year old Ruth has taken to Instagram with photos of herself taking strolls, enjoying brunches, and visiting the hair salon.
Meanwhile, Eamonn, also 64, is said to have struck up a bond with 42 year old Katie Alexander.
Revealing details to Bella magazine, an insider claimed that Ruth learns about updates regarding Eamonn and Katie through media reports, having first become aware of their closeness when Katie was snapped in Eamonn’s Range Rover back in July, reports the Mirror.
The informant confided to Bella: “She’s posting subtle hints towards them. It’s her way of sticking two fingers up at them.”
Ruth reportedly aims to “draw a line” beneath her marriage saga with Eamonn, even though she was recently seen still sporting her wedding ring on shopping network QVC last Friday. The Bella insider said: “Ruth doesn’t want him to think he can come and go as he pleases to pick things up. She’s after a fresh start and has intimated to pals she might even change the locks.”
This all unfolds while Eamonn takes a temporary step back from his regular presenting duties on GB News, although he assured viewers he was merely off for annual leave and would be back “next week”.
Additionally, Ruth hinted that maintaining a post-split amicable relationship with Eamonn may not be in the cards. In conversation with pop sensation Sinitta, she contrasted their situation with Sinitta’s friendly terms with ex Simon Cowell. Ruth admitted: “Not everyone can do that.”
Eamonn, despite their 14-year marriage coming to an end, reportedly expressed a desire to maintain a friendly relationship with Ruth. However, he admitted it might be “too soon” to predict.
Katie’s former husband, George Alexander, extended his sympathies to Ruth in an interview with The Sun. He confessed that the end of his own marriage left him “heartbroken”.
He revealed that it took “years” for him to recover from the separation. He further stated: “She’s going through what I did after our marriage ended.”
Ruth’s representatives have been contacted by The Mirror for a comment.
