Tom Brady and his lookalike son Jack grabbed dinner at Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles.
Jack, who turns 17 on August 22, is almost as tall as his retired professional NFL star dad, 47.
Tom – who took daughter Vivian to the Olympics –wore a black hoodie and black jeans with Nikes as he and his son chatted with fellow diners at chef Nancy Silverton’s upscale Italian joint.
The former New England Patriot shares Jack with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, 53.
He also has two children with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, daughter Vivian, 11, and son Benjamin, 14.
Jack has followed in his father’s footsteps and is a quarterback on his high school football team.
‘I love watching him play quarterback because I think there’s very few things in life that I could probably help him with,’ Brady said during his SiriusXM podcast Let’s Go with Tom Brady and Larry Fitzgerald in October 2022.
‘You know, I don’t have a lot of specialties in life other than probably throwing the football. He’s just a great kid. But I can definitely help him at quarterback.’
‘[He has] great hand-eye coordination. He actually moves better than I did at his age,’ he said.
Moynahan found out she was pregnant with Jack after she and Brady had broken up and he’d already moved on and fallen in love with Bündchen.
He spoke about that time in his life in an interview with Howard Stern in 2020.
‘Next thing you know, I found out that Bridget was pregnant with our son,’ he said.
‘So that was a very unique time … and it challenged me in a lot of ways, again, to grow up in a different way. It was very hard for my wife to think she fell in love with this guy, and then now this guy’s ex-girlfriend’s pregnant.’
‘And it was very challenging for my son’s mom, you know, because she didn’t envision that either,’ he added.
Moynahan got candid on that time in her life in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in 2008.
‘Going through that traumatic time of being heartbroken and then being pregnant turned my whole life upside down and inside out and just knocked the wind out of me,’ she told the publication.
‘But I got so much out of that … Now I have a child, and it’s the best thing in the world.’
Bündchen wrote in her memoir, Lessons: My Path To A Meaningful Life, that learning Brady was having a baby with Moynahan turned her world ‘upside down.’
She said that Brady told her Moynahan was expecting when he and Gisele had been dating for just two months.
‘Two months into our relationship, Tom told me his ex-girlfriend was pregnant. The very next day the news was everywhere, and I felt my world had been turned upside down,’ the retired Victoria Secret Angel model wrote.
Before his relationship with the catwalk queen, he dated actress Bridget from 2004 to 2006. She got pregnant in November or early December.
Gisele says she met Tom on a blind date in December 2006. Jack was born in August 22, 2007.
That time wasn’t easy on Gisele or Tom, but she said he needed ‘support’ during that time in their lives.
‘I wanted to be there for Jack and Tom, and do whatever I could to create stability in their lives, and help them to have a close relationship,’ she recalled.
Though rattled by the drama, the mom-of-two revealed how Brady and Bridget’s son John, who goes by Jack, was a blessing in disguise, crediting the little one with helping her ‘heart expand in ways I didn’t know was possible.’
She also revealed how she refers to Jack as her ‘bonus child’ and how his birth inspired her and Tom to have children of their own sooner than they necessary would have, so that the siblings would be close in age.
And Moynahan and Brady have established a copacetic co-parenting system over the years.
‘Tom and I made a decision to raise a child together and we both found partners that not only supported us in raising that child, but also loved our child as if he was their own,’ she told People.
‘I don’t think you can ask for more than that. My son is surrounded by love and grandparents that go on forever, and it’s all good.’
